Willian insisted that although suffering a tough start to the season, Chelsea possess the group to challenge for”names” this season.
Chelsea have won one of the first four league matches, losing and have been held by newly-promoted Sheffield Unitedat the previous match.
Veteran Willian, in a private interview with Sky Sports, is determined the club players can carry them, although new supervisor Frank Lampard has his choices limited at the beginning of his tenure has been guaranteed by A transfer ban.
“I think Chelsea will win some titles this season,” Willian stated. “I am aware that it will be difficult this year to acquire games, as normal, it’s always hard.
“It is difficult when you lose players like David Luiz, Eden Hazard, but we’ve got some quality young players here who will improve a good deal and later on become among the greatest players on the planet. I believe we have a team that is fantastic.
“However Chelsea is a large club and this shirt is heavy. We go to win when Chelsea enter a contest.
“It is not important the players, it isn’t important the trainer, every year we want to acquire something, and I think this year we can do it .”
Willian also praised the job Lampard has set in so far, considering the club have time to accommodate to his or her methods.
“It has been good to work with him” Willian additional. “He is a great man. The standard of instruction has been good.
“Of course we must give some time to accommodate, it’s a brand new profile, a new doctrine, but I think we will adapt.”
With less than a year left on his present contract, the long-term future at Chelsea of 31-year-old Willian remains uncertain, particularly given the fact the Brazilian is to start a competitive game .
However, Willian believes his fitness goes back and he’s raring to go, if he be called upon.
“I had an accident when I was at Copa America and I needed some time in training to recuperate, but I am 100 per cent,” Willian added. “I need to continue to train hard and once I have enough the time to play with I need to play nicely.”
