After revealing he is struggling with a knee injury justin Rose has emerged.
Rose cancelled his press responsibilities on Tuesday and has also withdrawn from Wednesday’s star-studded pro-am, even though he remains determined to take his own position in the field for the opening round Thursday.
The entire world no longer 4 suffered the injury last week and has been having intensive therapy on the ailment, but he will be unable to match in almost any practice rounds until his scheduled 12:40pm tee time on Thursday, when he is slated to play alongside Ryder Cup team-mate Jon Rahm and former Masters champion Patrick Reed.
Rose, who lost to Anders Hansen in a play-off at Wentworth in 2007 and has been also runner-up to Luke Donald five decades later, issued a statement that read:”Last Thursday I slid and slipped my knee.
“Since that time I have been getting treatment on the accident and I have been working hard with Justin Buckthorp and my medical staff away from the path to be able to make sure I am ready to play in this week’s BMW PGA Championship at Wentworth.
“Unfortunately, I have had to withdraw from Wednesday’s pro-am for a precaution, but I am doing what I could to be matched to perform Thursday.”
